Practical information for applicants
The program will consist of several meetings, which we detail below.
- First meeting: January 19 (Monday) 14:00-16:00 at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA Székház, Nagyterem). This meeting is devoted to launch the program. Applications (containing a CV, track record, acronym and abstract, and specification of panel) is expected to be uploaded to this webpage by February 20.
- Second meeting: March 20 (Friday) exact time and location will be provided later. In this meeting the ERC evaluation process will be discussed in details. We will also discuss the methodology used in the ERC-Mentor program.
- Third meeting: April 17 (Friday) exact time and place TBA. The meeting's aim is to help perspective applicants to improve the presentation of their scientific goals.
- Fourth meeting: June 12 (Friday) for Starting Grant applicants and September 11 for Consolidator Grant applicants (exact time and place TBA). In this meeting one-on-one mentoring will be provided for those who already have a draft of the B1 part of their proposal,
- Fifth and final meeting: mock interviews for those who were selected to proceed to Step 2; the time for the mock interview will be discussed on an individual basis.
We aim to repeat this cycle for the calls in future years, developing a recurrent event, on which interested applicant can count.
